Civil Defense declares end of threat in Riyadh and Al-Kharj after sirens

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has announced that the threat to Riyadh and Al-Kharj has ended, following the activation of warning sirens earlier. Authorities urged the public to continue following official safety instructions.

Civil Defense emphasized the importance of avoiding gatherings and photography, staying away from hazardous areas, remaining calm, and adhering to guidance issued by official sources.

Earlier instructions had advised residents to stay indoors, move to an internal room or a safe area away from windows, and not to leave their homes or buildings until the threat had passed.

Guidelines also included staying away from open areas and glass, avoiding balconies and rooftops, and for those outdoors, seeking shelter in the nearest building or behind a solid barrier.

If a warning message is received while driving, Civil Defense recommended pulling over to the side of the road, away from bridges and tall buildings.

Civil Defense urged the public to call 911 in case of emergencies.
