Civil Defense declares end of danger in Jeddah, Taif and Makkah

Saudi Civil Defense announced on Tuesday that the danger has passed in Jeddah, Taif, and the city of Makkah.

The Civil Defense urged everyone to continue following safety instructions, avoid gathering or taking photos, and emphasized that emergencies should be reported by calling 911.

Earlier, the Civil Defense had issued an alert through the National Early Warning Platform for Emergencies in Jeddah, Taif, and Makkah to warn of potential danger.

Authorities stressed the importance of remaining calm and adhering to official instructions, staying indoors, moving to an internal room or a safe area away from windows, and not leaving homes or buildings until the threat had passed.

Guidelines also included staying away from open areas and glass, avoiding balconies and rooftops, and for those outside, seeking shelter in the nearest building or behind a solid barrier.

The Civil Defense reiterated the need to avoid gatherings and photography entirely and to stay away from hazardous locations. If a warning message is received while driving, motorists are advised to pull over safely away from bridges and tall buildings.
