Red Sea and Gulf threats endanger ship crews, says Saudi FM

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan said that maintaining the security of international waterways is a shared global responsibility.

He added that the Kingdom condemns attacks targeting its ships, ports, and energy infrastructure, stressing that threats in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and Bab Al-Mandab put ship crews in danger, according to Al Arabiya.

He continued that strengthening cooperation has become even more crucial to safeguard global energy security, and that Saudi Arabia will continue working with partners to de-escalate tensions.

The minister also stated that safe passage through these waterways is non-negotiable and not subject to political bargaining, affirming that the Kingdom will work tirelessly to ensure the flow of energy while defending its territory and interests.
