Saudi Arabia has played key role in Lebanon’s stability, analyst says

Political analyst Hanna Saleh said Saudi Arabia has played a pivotal role in reaching the framework agreement and has historically supported Lebanon’s stability.

Speaking in an interview with Al Arabiya FM, Saleh added that this role included efforts to isolate Lebanon from Iranian influence, emphasizing the Kingdom’s longstanding commitment to Lebanon’s stability.

He noted that Saudi Arabia has consistently set an example in dealing with the Lebanese state, refusing to allow any group to undermine state institutions. Saleh said the Kingdom seeks an Arab environment that supports security, curbs Iranian expansion, and puts an end to foreign interference.

Saleh continued that Saudi Arabia has never stopped extending support to Lebanon, as long as Beirut is committed to eliminating illegal arms and ending the era of Lebanon being used as a platform for attacks on Arab countries through drug smuggling and hostile acts.
