Mawhiba official: National Olympiad key to discovering and nurturing talent

Yusuf Al-Shahrani, an educational supervisor at the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), has highlighted the importance of the Mawhiba National Olympiad.

Al-Shahrani said the National Olympiad offers an opportunity for anyone with passion and interest to discover and develop their talents, build their abilities, and prepare to compete internationally.

He added that the Olympiad is part of a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education. The program targets more than 500,000 male and female students from across the Kingdom in various fields, and is distinguished by its ongoing nature, continuing beyond the event itself.

Al-Shahrani noted that after the Olympiad concludes, a number of students join Saudi national teams in different disciplines and become part of groups representing the Kingdom at international events.

He explained that participation begins with registration, and students are identified through a series of tests, central exhibitions, meetings, and electronic evaluations, followed by rigorous scientific training. This process aims to build a generation capable of competing globally and achieving strong results each year.
