Yemeni resident arrested in Jazan for transporting five border violators

Patrols from the General Directorate of Mujahideen in Jazan arrested a Yemeni resident for transporting five Ethiopian nationals in his vehicle who were violating border security regulations. The individuals were detained, legal procedures were taken against them, and the violators were referred to the relevant authorities, while the transporter was referred to the Public Prosecution.

The official spokesperson for the General Directorate of Mujahideen stressed that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transports them within the country, provides them shelter, or offers any assistance or service in any form, exposes themselves to penalties of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to SAR 1 million, confiscation of the means of transport and housing used for shelter, in addition to public naming.

He explained that this crime is considered a major offense warranting detention and is regarded as dishonorable and a breach of trust. He urged the public to report violations of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions of the Kingdom. All reports will be handled confidentially with no liability for the informant.
