King Abdulaziz Public Library launches library enrichment service for schools

The Children's Book Club at King Abdulaziz Public Library has launched a new service titled "Library and Learning Center Enrichment with Books," aimed at supporting nurseries, schools, and educational centers with curated book collections. The initiative seeks to foster stimulating learning environments and promote a culture of reading among children and youth of all ages.

The service offers a diverse range of carefully selected reading sets suitable for nurseries, kindergartens, as well as primary, intermediate, and secondary school levels. The focus is on high-quality content tailored to each age group, enriching their knowledge and cultural awareness.

Sundus Al-Sharif, Director General of the Children's Department, explained that the launch of this service extends the Children's Book Club's mission to spread knowledge, instill a reading culture, and strengthen the presence of books in educational settings, ultimately helping children and youth develop skills and inspiring them to learn and discover.

Rigorous educational standards and ongoing initiatives

Al-Sharif added that the service selects books based on precise educational and cultural criteria, ensuring high-quality content that meets the needs of each age group. This helps educational institutions create engaging reading environments that support learning and contribute to building children's character and developing their intellectual and language skills.

She noted that this initiative is part of a series of programs implemented by the Children's Department to support educational institutions, enhance community partnerships, and reinforce the role of books as essential tools for building knowledge and awareness.

Al-Sharif concluded by affirming that the Children's Department continues to develop its cultural and educational initiatives in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to nurture human capabilities, improve quality of life, and build a generation of readers who value lifelong learning, creativity, and innovation.
