National Center for Falcons to host international falcon farms auction in August

The National Center for Falcons is preparing to launch its first event since the approval of its new regulations, with the international auction for falcon production farms set to take place from August 5 to 25 at the center’s headquarters in Mulham, north of Riyadh.

The auction marks a new phase for the center following the Cabinet’s endorsement of its updated framework, aimed at strengthening its role in developing the falconry sector and supporting efforts to organize and grow the industry, further establishing Saudi Arabia as a global hub for falconry.

This year’s auction will feature pavilions for both local and international falcon farms, sections for falconry equipment, a “Future Falconer” area, interactive displays, and a live auction platform offering direct bidding on elite falcon breeds, providing a comprehensive experience for visitors and participants.

The auction attracts falconers from around the world, especially after the National Center for Falcons announced earlier this year that all competition rounds would be dedicated to the “chick” category for falcons sold at the auction, giving falconers and visitors the opportunity to discover top-quality falcons bred locally and internationally.

Growing interest and accompanying events

Last year’s auction in 2025 saw 1,103 falcons from 67 farms across 23 countries, with sales exceeding 13 million riyals (SAR), and welcomed over 20,000 visitors. This year, in 2026, the center will organize several specialized events alongside the international auction, including the Saudi International Falcons and Hunting Exhibition from October 1 to 10, the Al-Milwah Race from October 4 to 9, the National Center for Falcons Auction from October 1 to November 30, the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival from November 17 to 30, and the National Center for Falcons Cup from December 21 to 28.
