Health Ministry completes school fitness checks for new students

The Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, has completed school fitness examinations for approximately 332,931 new students for the 1448 academic year, alongside the administration of required basic vaccinations and the implementation of awareness and follow-up measures for identified health cases.

The procedures included informing students’ families about any health conditions discovered, and guiding them to continue necessary follow-up and care, supporting early detection and promoting student health and prevention.

The Ministry of Health stated that completing these examinations is part of ongoing efforts to enhance prevention, improve the quality of health services provided to students, and prepare them for a healthy and safe start to the school year.

The ministry affirmed its continued cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), and health clusters to provide necessary preventive services for students and to raise health awareness among students and their families.

It added that these efforts aim to help provide a healthy and safe educational environment by continuing to support student health, prevent health issues, and ensure early detection.
