Sports Ministry joins 10th Misk Launchpad to support startups

The Ministry of Sports is taking part in the 10th edition of the Misk Launchpad program, in partnership with Misk Entrepreneurship—one of the tracks of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk)—which supports startups by building and developing approved prototypes, verifying their market fit, and preparing them for growth and investment planning across various technology sectors.

The program runs for ten consecutive weeks, starting from September 6, 2026, and ending on January 2, 2027. The program consists of four stages, beginning with idea design to identify customers and conducting interviews with target clients for each company. The second stage focuses on building, where the prototype (MVB) is refined and developed under the weekly supervision of specialized mentors. The third stage is testing and validation, which involves testing the product with real users and confirming its actual market fit. The final stage, which follows the program’s conclusion, is subject to specific evaluation criteria and aims to enhance the investment readiness of startups and prepare them to meet investors.

The program provides access to the integrated sports ecosystem, including federations, clubs, sports universities, and related programs, to foster partnerships, enable investment deals, and boost opportunities for expansion and growth by connecting sports startups with companies from various sectors.

This participation reflects the ministry’s commitment to creating a lasting national impact by generating new jobs, increasing the private sector’s contribution to the sports GDP, attracting strategic investments, establishing leading Saudi companies, and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the sports sector.

Previous editions of the program have achieved notable successes, including the creation of over 1,000 jobs through beneficiary startups. The total valuation of these startups reached 372 million riyals (SAR), and more than 30 sectors have benefited from the services provided by these enabled companies.
