flynas expands fleet with new Airbus A320neo, reaching 68 aircraft

Saudi low-cost carrier flynas has announced the delivery of a new Airbus A320neo, part of the next-generation cabin aircraft introduced by the airline earlier in 2026. The addition supports flynas' growth and expansion plans, aims to enhance the travel experience, and leverages the operational efficiency of the latest Airbus models.

With the arrival of this new aircraft, the flynas fleet now totals 68 Airbus planes, comprising 62 A320neo, two A330, and four A320ceo aircraft.

This is the second aircraft equipped with the new-generation cabin, featuring lighter and more comfortable seats designed to enrich the passenger experience and improve fuel efficiency in line with the airline’s sustainability program.

The new seats, developed in collaboration with global company Safran, offer eight features: integrated holders for smartphones and tablets, high-speed USB-A and USB-C charging ports with 60-watt capacity, larger meal tables, a dedicated pocket for books and magazines, a coat hook, and premium class seats with increased legroom, adjustable headrests, and a middle seat divider for optimal comfort.

A320neo aircraft are more fuel-efficient than previous generations, reducing consumption and operational emissions per seat, supporting flynas’ focus on efficiency and sustainability.

In July 2026, during the Farnborough International Airshow, flynas confirmed an order for 25 Airbus aircraft, including five wide-body A330neo and 20 A321neo jets. This brings the airline’s total confirmed Airbus orders to 235 aircraft, with an additional 45 purchase options, for a potential total of 280 planes as flynas continues to expand its fleet and route network in the coming years.

flynas is pursuing its growth and expansion strategy under the slogan "Connecting the World to the Kingdom," in line with the National Civil Aviation Strategy. The plan aims to position Saudi Arabia as a global aviation hub, connect it to 250 international destinations, accommodate 330 million passengers, and welcome 150 million tourists annually by 2030, as well as support the Guests of God Service Program to facilitate access to the Two Holy Mosques.
