Civil Defense issues early warning alert in Yanbu, urges precautions

Saudi Civil Defense has announced the activation of an emergency alert through the National Early Warning Platform in Yanbu governorate to warn of potential danger.

In a statement on its official X account, Civil Defense urged the public to follow these procedures upon receiving the warning message:

Remain calm and follow official instructions.

Immediately move to the nearest safe location inside a building or an internal room away from crowds, and stay there until the danger has passed.

Do not leave your home or building until the threat is over. Avoid open areas and glass surfaces, and do not stand on balconies or rooftops.

If you are outdoors, enter the nearest building or take cover behind a solid barrier. Avoid gathering, taking photos, or approaching hazardous areas. If you are in a vehicle when the warning is issued, pull over safely away from bridges and tall buildings.

If you notice any danger, call the emergency number (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or (998) in other regions of the Kingdom.

Follow instructions issued by the relevant authorities through official channels.
