The National Center for Meteorology issued a warning on Monday of strong winds reaching speeds between 50 and 59 kilometers per hour, affecting several cities and governorates in the Eastern Province.

The center said the alert covers Dammam and Dhahran, as well as the governorates of Hafar Al-Batin, Khafji, Nairyah, Qaryat Al-Ulya, Ras Tanura, Jubail, Qatif, Alkhobar, Buqayq, Al-Ahsa, and surrounding villages and centers.

The center noted that these winds may stir up dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility to between 1 and 3 kilometers, especially in open areas and on highways.

The National Center for Meteorology added that these weather conditions are expected to persist until 9 p.m.
