Dr. Rania Abu Al-Ala, associate professor of information systems at King Abdulaziz University, has outlined the reasons behind the surge in artificial intelligence usage.

In a televised interview with Al Ekhbariya, she explained that "ease of use and rapid access to information have made AI a preferred alternative to traditional search engines such as Google."

She added that "users’ curiosity about AI and its benefits across various fields, as well as the speed it offers, are also factors. Both employees and students are now using AI according to their specific needs."

The International Monetary Fund has stated that artificial intelligence could boost Saudi Arabia’s economy by 6% over the next decade, provided the Kingdom accelerates investment in these technologies, narrows readiness gaps with advanced economies, and strengthens AI service exports.
