Eastern Province Municipality signs deal to develop park and sports track in Dammam

The Eastern Province Municipality and Mouwasat Medical Services Company signed a memorandum of understanding yesterday at the municipality’s headquarters in Dammam to develop a park and sports track in the Uhud district of Dammam, covering an area of more than 11,000 square meters.

The agreement aims to boost community engagement, expand green spaces, and provide public facilities that enhance the quality of life for local residents.

The memorandum was signed by Eastern Province Mayor Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Jubeir and Mouwasat Medical Services CEO Nasser Al-Subaie, in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors.

The project is located next to Mouwasat Hospital within the West Dammam Municipality area. It aims to create a community destination that combines sports, recreation, and green spaces, enabling residents to engage in physical activities and enjoy leisure time in an attractive urban environment.

The development will include a park and sports track, landscaping, lighting, paving works, and a dedicated children’s play area, offering diverse facilities to serve all segments of the community and encourage sports and healthy lifestyles.

The site overlooks Imam Al-Tirmidhi and Khalid Al-Hawari streets, making it easily accessible and broadening the potential use of its facilities.

This partnership is part of the Eastern Province Municipality’s ongoing efforts to collaborate with the private sector, increase green spaces, and improve the urban landscape, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to enhance quality of life and environmental sustainability.
