Jeddah authorities destroy 1.3 tons of used clothing, remove 270 illegal stalls in Al-Khumrah

A field campaign carried out by Jeddah Municipality in the Al-Khumrah district resulted in the destruction of more than 1.3 tons of used clothing that had been displayed and traded illegally. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to address unauthorized sales sites and monitor violations within neighborhoods.

The Sub-Municipalities Agency at the municipality stated that field teams removed and destroyed 270 illegal street stalls after completing the required procedures on site. These actions coincided with ongoing inspection efforts to identify violations and address the impact of unregulated activities.

Legal measures and site cleanup

The campaign included apprehending violators and taking legal action against them by the relevant authorities, as part of efforts to monitor unauthorized activities linked to illegal sales locations and prevent their return or relocation within the area.

The agency added that field teams transported 11 tons of confiscated items to the landfill. Cleanup operations were also carried out to remove waste and restore the site following the enforcement actions.

Jeddah Municipality continues its inspection campaigns to monitor illegal sales sites and unauthorized activities in neighborhoods, taking legal measures to enhance the urban environment and improve compliance across the governorate.
