Egypt's president reaffirms support for Saudi Arabia in call with crown prince

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi assured Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is also the Prime Minister, of Egypt's full condemnation of any attacks on Saudi Arabia.

According to a statement from the Egyptian presidency, the meeting saw agreement between the president and the crown prince that relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia must always remain exemplary within the Arab context. They affirmed that the security of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states is an integral part of Egypt's national security. Egypt expressed its reservation, rejection, and complete condemnation of any attacks or threats to the Kingdom's sovereignty, stability, territorial integrity, or the freedom of navigation in international waterways. The statement added that the current circumstances require greater solidarity and coordination between the two countries, emphasizing that their interests and objectives are aligned and that there is full understanding between them. The crown prince's visit was described as a reaffirmation of the solidarity and strong brotherhood between Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and all Gulf states.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is also the Prime Minister, arrived in Cairo today for a working visit. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was at the forefront of those welcoming the crown prince at Cairo International Airport.
