Crown prince announces formation of Mecca Defense Alliance to bolster regional security

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman said that the attacks targeting all Gulf Cooperation Council countries underscore the indivisibility of Gulf security and stability. He affirmed that Saudi Arabia is working with its partners to safeguard Gulf security, pursue strategic cooperation and economic integration, and continue implementing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ vision to enhance joint action, achieve the Council’s goals, and meet the aspirations of its citizens.

Speaking at the opening of the third year of the ninth session of the Shoura Council, he added that, as part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to promote regional stability and avoid the consequences of tensions and conflicts through coordinated action, the "Mecca Defense Alliance" has been established between the Kingdom, the Republic of Turkey, and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He said this step reflects their shared commitment to strengthening security and stability in the region, and expressed appreciation for the support of friendly and allied nations in these efforts.
