The second edition of the International Social Responsibility Forum will begin tomorrow in Riyadh, under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development on October 5 and 6. Held under the theme "From Commitment to Impact," the event will bring together more than 3,000 participants and over 100 speakers from around the world across more than 40 panel sessions.
Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi said Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the forum’s second edition reflects the leadership’s ongoing support for strengthening social responsibility and its role in development. He noted that Saudi Vision 2030 has established the private sector as a key development partner and set the enhancement of corporate social responsibility as a national goal, helping to expand its developmental impact and contributions to society.
He added that the Kingdom has seen significant progress in social responsibility practices in recent years, supported by several national initiatives. These include the formation of the National Committee for Social Responsibility, designating March 23 each year as Social Responsibility Day, launching the National Social Responsibility Platform, and the Social Responsibility Award. Al-Rajhi emphasized the importance of moving from commitment to maximizing impact, adopting global best practices, and strengthening partnerships at both national and international levels.
The forum brings together leading government and executive officials, regulators, investors, experts, and specialists from Saudi Arabia and around the world to discuss key global trends in social responsibility, exchange expertise, and foster cooperation between the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
The forum’s program features three main platforms: the "General Session of the International Social Responsibility Forum," the "Corporate Social Responsibility Impact Platform," and the "Corporate Social Responsibility Standards Platform." These will address global experiences, shared challenges, and best practices through six strategic themes: strategy and integration; climate, nature, and just transition; workforce, talent management, and social impact; responsible innovation; digital transformation and corporate social responsibility; and governance, trust, and standards.
The forum will also host the Corporate Social Responsibility Award ceremony, honoring companies that have successfully transformed their commitments into measurable results across the Kingdom, highlighting the importance of impact measurement and showcasing effective institutional practices in the private sector.
