Jeddah Municipality steps up school area preparations for new academic year

Jeddah Municipality has ramped up its field operations around schools and educational facilities in preparation for students' return at the start of the new academic year, covering the areas of 11 sub-municipalities.

The initiative aims to enhance the readiness of sites surrounding educational institutions and to provide a clean, safe urban environment for students and staff as the school year begins.

The municipality stated that the General Department of Cleaning Projects is currently carrying out several activities around schools, including improving cleanliness, addressing issues in surrounding areas and walkways, removing waste, maintaining urban aesthetics, and ensuring the readiness of locations and roads linked to educational facilities.

Jeddah Municipality added that these efforts are part of joint operations among its various sectors, in coordination with the General Directorate of Education in Jeddah and other relevant bodies, to ensure integrated fieldwork, accelerate issue resolution, and boost overall preparedness for the start of the academic year.
