Saudi foreign minister attends Quad group meeting in Istanbul

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan participated in the meeting of foreign ministers of the Quad group.

The foreign minister arrived today in Istanbul, Turkey, to attend the ministerial meeting of the Quad group, which includes Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt, as well as a session with European countries: the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy.

Participants are set to discuss the latest regional and international developments, including the situation in Yemen, US-Iran tensions, the Palestinian issue, the Russia-Ukraine crisis, and the importance of restoring and ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab. The agenda also includes exploring opportunities for cooperation and coordination between regional and European countries.
