Citizen detained for illegal camping in Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve

The Special Forces for Environmental Security have detained a citizen for violating environmental regulations by camping without a permit in the Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve. Legal procedures have been taken against the individual.

Authorities stated that camping in forests or national parks without a license is punishable by a fine of up to 3,000 riyals (SAR). The public is urged to report any environmental or wildlife violations by calling 911 in the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, or 999 and 996 in other areas of the Kingdom. All reports will be handled confidentially, with no liability for the informant.
