Nigerian president receives Muslim World League secretary-general in Abuja

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday received Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, secretary-general of the Muslim World League and president of the Association of Muslim Scholars, at the presidential palace in Abuja.

During the meeting, President Tinubu expressed his appreciation for the Muslim World League’s initiative to promote social peace in West Africa, affirming his full support for the Abuja Declaration, including its action plan, executive programs, and the establishment of a coordinating body for joint cooperation.

For his part, Dr. Al-Issa thanked the Nigerian president for his patronage of the League’s initiative conference in Abuja, which was attended by a number of religious leaders from across West Africa.
