Border security patrols in Jazan arrest Yemeni resident for transporting illegal migrants

Patrols from the General Directorate of Mujahideen in Jazan have arrested a Yemeni resident for transporting four individuals of the same nationality who were violating border security regulations in his vehicle.

The directorate stated that all violators were detained and legal procedures have been initiated. The violators were referred to the relevant authorities, while the driver was handed over to the Public Prosecution.

The official spokesperson for the General Directorate of Mujahideen emphasized that anyone who facilitates the entry, transport, shelter, or assistance of border security violators in the Kingdom faces severe penalties.

Penalties include imprisonment for up to 15 years, fines of up to one million riyals (SAR), confiscation of the vehicle and accommodation used, and public naming of offenders.

Call to report violations

The spokesperson added that this offense is considered a major crime warranting detention and is a breach of honor and trust. He urged the public to report violations of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions.

He confirmed that all reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and that informants will bear no liability.
