Makkah Municipality issues safety guidelines amid rainfall warnings

In response to alerts and forecasts from the National Center for Meteorology, Makkah Municipality has published a set of preventive guidelines on its digital platforms to promote safe behavior and reduce potential risks associated with rainfall. This initiative is part of the municipality’s ongoing public awareness programs aimed at enhancing safety during rainy weather conditions.

In an official statement, the municipality urged citizens and residents to monitor weather updates and adhere to instructions from relevant authorities. It also advised caution while driving, reducing speed, avoiding flood channels, valleys, and water accumulation areas, and not attempting to cross them during water flow. Additionally, people were warned against stopping or staying in low-lying areas during and after rainfall.

The municipality encouraged the public to report rainwater accumulation or any municipal service concerns via the "Balady 940" app, stressing the importance of following preventive guidelines and cooperating with authorities to minimize risks and ensure everyone’s safety.
