Deputizing for Minister of Defense, Chief of Staff Launches His Majesty's Ship 'Onaiza'

Deputizing for the Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chief of the General Staff of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Lieutenant-General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili launched in Jeddah today His Majesty's Ship "Onaiza", the fifth ship in the Sarawat project.

Upon arriving at the King Faisal Naval Base in the Western Fleet, Chief of Staff Al-Ruwaili was received by Commander of the Naval Forces Let. Gen. Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Ghofaily.

Al-Ghofaily delivered a speech at the launching ceremony in which he noted that His Majesty's Ship "Onaiza (Corvette Avante 2200), will contribute to raising Royal Saudi Navy readiness level, enhancing maritime security in the region and protecting the Kingdom's vital strategic interests.
