Saudi Water Authority inspects Dammam water tankers to protect consumers

The Saudi Water Authority conducted an inspection and awareness campaign targeting water tankers in Dammam, aiming to ensure compliance with regulations and verify the safety of water transport practices.

The inspection resulted in the authority recording 13 violations for operating without the required license, among a total of 55 violations identified by three government bodies according to their respective mandates. All violations were documented in line with approved procedures.

The campaign covered both potable and non-potable water tankers. The authority checked the legal status of operators and their adherence to requirements related to safe water transport, public health, and environmental protection, ensuring beneficiaries receive safe and reliable services.

This initiative is part of ongoing government efforts to enhance the reliability of water transport services, improve road safety, and raise awareness among operators about the necessary regulatory requirements.

The authority confirmed that field inspections will continue, urging water transport operators to obtain the necessary licenses and comply with approved requirements to protect consumer rights, support the safety and quality of water transport, and minimize health and environmental risks.
