Saudi Arabia and Qatar discuss activating civil defense cooperation agreement

Saudi Arabia and Qatar discussed activating their civil defense cooperation agreement during the inaugural meeting of the joint committee responsible for implementing the accord, held today at the General Directorate of Civil Defense headquarters in Riyadh.

Director General of Civil Defense in Saudi Arabia, Major General Dr. Hamoud bin Suleiman Al-Faraj, welcomed the Director General of Civil Defense in Qatar, Major General Hamad Othman Al-Dehaimi, and his accompanying delegation. The visit included the first meeting of the committee tasked with activating the cooperation agreement between the two governments in the field of civil defense.

The meeting reflects the commitment of both Saudi Arabia and Qatar to strengthening joint cooperation, enhancing coordination, and exchanging expertise in civil defense, with the aim of improving preparedness and emergency response capabilities.
