Hajj ministry launches new multiple-entry Umrah visa valid for one year

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced today the launch of a new multiple-entry Umrah visa, allowing beneficiaries to enter Saudi Arabia several times during the visa’s 365-day validity from the date of issuance, with a total stay of up to 90 days within the visa period.

The ministry explained that this initiative aims to facilitate the journey for Umrah pilgrims, offering more flexible options for planning visits and performing Umrah rituals. It is part of ongoing efforts to enhance services for pilgrims and achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program.

The ministry noted that the total stay is calculated cumulatively, with a maximum of 90 days based on the number of days spent in the Kingdom during each visit. The visa can be used for multiple entries throughout its validity, in accordance with approved regulations.

It added that to benefit from the visa, applicants must purchase a service package from one of the approved providers within the Nusuk platform for each visit. The duration of the package must not exceed the remaining available days on the visa, and all regulatory requirements for program durations and services must be followed.

The ministry stated that entry to the Kingdom under this visa requires obtaining an Umrah permit via the Nusuk app before arrival, ensuring the permit dates align with the approved package, and meeting all travel and entry eligibility requirements.

For the first visit, the process begins with purchasing a package from an approved Nusuk provider, submitting a visa application, completing processing with the relevant authorities, and verifying travel eligibility before boarding. Upon arrival, entry data is registered and updated upon departure.

For subsequent visits, visa holders must purchase a new package from an approved provider and obtain an Umrah permit through the Nusuk app, complete the necessary verification procedures, and update the remaining stay balance after each visit.

The ministry noted that the visa status is suspended after each departure from the Kingdom and reactivated for the next visit once regulatory requirements are met. The visa cannot be used for entry during the Hajj season, from the first of Dhu al-Qi’dah until the thirteenth of Dhu al-Hijjah.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah affirmed that the new visa enhances flexibility in planning visits and supports the integration of digital and operational services related to the Umrah journey, as part of efforts to provide a smoother and higher-quality experience from planning to departure.
