Citizen detained for unauthorized camping in Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve

The Special Forces for Environmental Security have apprehended a citizen for violating environmental regulations by camping without a permit in the Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve. Legal measures have been taken against the individual.

The forces explained that unauthorized camping in forests or national parks carries a fine of up to 3,000 riyals (SAR). They urged the public to report any violations against the environment or wildlife by calling 911 in the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, or 999 and 996 in other areas of the Kingdom. All reports will be handled confidentially, and informants will not be held liable.
