Saudi authorities arrest man for transporting 11 border violators in Jazan

Patrols from the General Directorate of Mujahideen in Jazan arrested a Saudi national for transporting 11 Ethiopian nationals who had violated border security regulations in a vehicle he was driving. All individuals were detained, legal procedures were initiated, and the violators were referred to the relevant authorities, while the driver was referred to the Public Prosecution.

The spokesperson for the General Directorate of Mujahideen stated that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transports them within the country, provides them shelter, or offers any assistance or service in any form, exposes themselves to penalties of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to 1 million riyals (SAR), confiscation of the means of transport and accommodation used for sheltering, and public naming.

He added that this crime is considered a major offense warranting detention and is a breach of honor and trust. He urged the public to report violations of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions of the Kingdom. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
