Three falcons were sold for a total of 369,000 riyals (SAR) on the tenth night of the 2026 National Falcon Auction, which is organized by the National Center for Falcons and runs until November 30. The event attracted a large audience of falconry enthusiasts.

The evening began with the first falcon, a young peregrine (shaheen) from Haradh, presented by falconers Fahd Sultan Al-Mari, Hamad Nafl Al-Mari, and Abdullah Al-Saiari. Bidding started at 50,000 riyals and the bird was sold for 118,000 riyals. The second falcon, another young peregrine from Rafha, was offered by Saad and Hamad Mohammed Al-Shammari, Abdulaziz Aqla Al-Shammari, and Mohammed Hamad Al-Shammari. Bidding opened at 80,000 riyals and it sold for 171,000 riyals. The night concluded with the third falcon, a young peregrine from Al-Hammad (Arar), which was presented by 11 falconers and sold for 80,000 riyals.

The auction is limited to young migratory peregrine falcons caught within the Kingdom, and does not include adult peregrines or saker falcons, in order to support their sustainability and preserve their bloodlines.

Local falcons will continue to be accepted for two months. The auction nights are broadcast on television and social media platforms, allowing falconers and enthusiasts to follow the event.

The National Center for Falcons provides a range of benefits and comprehensive services to falconers throughout the season. Center teams in various regions receive the falcon owners and the center covers accommodation and transportation to the auction venue. Each falcon is presented in a fast-paced, live competitive auction broadcast on TV and the center's social media accounts.
