The National Center for Meteorology, in its daily report issued Sunday, forecast thunderstorms accompanied by hail over parts of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha regions.

The report added that rain-bearing thunderclouds may also form over parts of the highlands in Madinah, Makkah, and Najran, as well as the southern areas of the Eastern Province and Riyadh.

The center noted that strong winds raising dust and sand will continue to affect parts of these regions, while hot to extremely hot weather will persist in parts of eastern Saudi Arabia.

Wave heights will range from half a meter to one and a half meters, exceeding two meters with thunderstorms in the southern part. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate, becoming rough during thunderstorms.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly at 10 to 25 km/h, with wave heights from half a meter to one meter and slight sea conditions.
