Asir Municipality addresses 628 visual pollution cases in Q2 2026

Asir Municipality continued its efforts to enhance infrastructure efficiency and improve municipal service quality by intensifying maintenance of lighting networks and operating equipment during the second quarter of 2026, contributing to a better urban landscape and increased road safety.

The municipality reported that, in the second quarter of this year, it carried out 16,897 maintenance operations on lighting poles, serviced 912 grounding systems, addressed 628 cases of visual pollution, performed routine maintenance on 322 lighting cabinets, repaired 788 electrical faults, and installed 14,869 linear meters of cables and wires. Additionally, 177 lighting poles were adjusted, relocated, installed, or replaced to further improve the efficiency and reliability of lighting networks.

To support operational activities, the municipality deployed 40 pieces of equipment to carry out 11 field tasks focused on cleaning and maintaining valleys and culverts, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance readiness and improve field response capabilities.
