Ethiopian nationals arrested in Asir for smuggling 40 kg of khat

Border Guard ground patrols in the Raboua sector of Asir region have arrested two Ethiopian nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 40 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

According to a statement posted by the Border Guard on its official X account, initial legal procedures have been completed against the suspects, and both they and the seized contraband have been handed over to the competent authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions, as well as the General Directorate of Narcotics Control hotline at 995, or by email at (Email:[email protected]). All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
