Eastern Province Municipality upgrades entrance and walking track in Al-Basateen, Buqayq

The Eastern Province Municipality has completed a project to upgrade the entrance and walking track in Al-Basateen district, Buqayq, covering an area of more than 16,000 square meters. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve the urban landscape, promote city livability, and raise quality of life in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Development work included paving the district entrance over an area exceeding 10,500 square meters, as well as applying road markings and ground lines.

The project also featured the creation of 38 planting beds, the planting of 835 neem and Acacia glauca trees, installation of 36 decorative lighting poles, and 10 dual lighting poles each 12 meters high.

Additionally, 65 benches were provided, a 155-square-meter canopy was constructed, and a walking track and sports area with five exercise machines were installed to encourage physical activity and greater use of public facilities.
