Robotic surgery enables five remote operations in Najran

Dr. Mohammed Al-Arifan, consultant in general surgery, obesity, and bariatric procedures at King Khalid Hospital in Najran, announced that five remote surgeries were performed using a surgical robot, in collaboration with the Seha Virtual Hospital.

Speaking to Al Ekhbariya TV, Al-Arifan explained that the remote procedures included two gastric sleeve surgeries and two gallbladder removals, highlighting the use of advanced technologies in surgical care.

He emphasized that carrying out these operations demonstrates the advanced level of technology and infrastructure at King Khalid Hospital in Najran, and the facility’s ability to leverage modern medical technologies in healthcare delivery.
