Saudi authorities arrest man in Asir for trafficking hashish, amphetamines

The General Directorate of Narcotics Control has arrested a Saudi national in the Asir region for trafficking hashish, amphetamines, and 1,790 tablets subject to medical regulation.

According to a statement posted on its X account, the Directorate said the suspect has been detained, legal procedures have been initiated, and he has been referred to the Public Prosecution.

Authorities urged citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions, as well as the General Directorate of Narcotics Control hotline (995), or by email at [email protected]. All reports will be handled confidentially and without liability for the informant.
