Border Guard detains violator of marine safety regulations in Yanbu

Coastal patrols of the Saudi Border Guard in Yanbu, Madinah region, have detained a citizen for violating safety and security regulations for marine activities in Saudi territorial waters.

According to a statement on the Border Guard's official X account, the individual was apprehended for fishing without a permit and using prohibited equipment. Legal measures were taken in coordination with the relevant authorities.

The Border Guard urged the public to comply with regulations protecting marine resources and to report any violations against the environment or wildlife. Reports can be made by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 994 in other regions. All reports will be treated confidentially, and informants bear no responsibility.
