Border Guard in Asir arrests Yemeni for smuggling 20 kg of khat

Land patrols from the Border Guard in the Raboua sector of Asir region have arrested a Yemeni national for violating border security regulations after he was caught attempting to smuggle 20 kilograms of khat. Initial legal procedures were completed, and he, along with the seized drugs, was referred to the competent authorities.

The Border Guard patrols clarified that legal measures were taken immediately upon his arrest, before handing him and the confiscated khat over to the relevant authorities to complete further procedures.

Security authorities urged citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions of the Kingdom.
