National Water Efficiency Center urges early leak detection, promotes Nama platform

The National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center (Maaei) has urged early detection of water leaks in buildings, highlighting its role in reducing water loss and preserving water resources in the urban sector.

The center explained that some leaks may not be immediately visible to consumers, but can be identified through indicators such as unusually high water consumption or the appearance of dampness in certain areas. This, it said, requires inspecting the building’s water system to ensure it is functioning properly.

Maaei noted that leak detection and water auditing services are available online through the Nama platform and app, allowing users to access licensed service providers via streamlined digital procedures.

The center emphasized the importance of dealing with licensed providers to ensure leak detection and water auditing are carried out in line with regulatory requirements, which helps improve water use efficiency and reduce losses.

This service is part of the center’s efforts to promote digital transformation and enable users to access services that support water sustainability and reinforce efficient water use practices.
