Red Crescent in Al-Baha boosts emergency readiness for Civil Defense staff

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority branch in Al-Baha, represented by the Training and Community Awareness Department and in partnership with the Civil Defense, organized an in-person training course for Civil Defense personnel at the Al-Baha training hall. The initiative aims to raise awareness about drowning prevention and enhance preparedness for emergency situations.

The course covered a range of theoretical and practical topics, including first aid for drowning incidents, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), managing choking and bleeding cases, and training on the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). These activities are designed to improve first aid skills and strengthen emergency response capabilities.

As part of its community outreach, the Training and Community Awareness Department also launched a social media campaign to highlight the importance of drowning prevention, promote adherence to safety guidelines, and spread preventive practices that help reduce drowning incidents and protect public safety.

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Al-Baha encouraged community members to enroll in the "First Eight Minutes" courses via the "Mutahehb" platform to acquire essential first aid skills and improve their ability to respond effectively during the crucial initial minutes of emergencies, helping save lives and raise first aid awareness in society.
