Environmental security forces record two violations in Imam Faisal Reserve, Madinah

The Special Forces for Environmental Security have recorded two violations of environmental regulations in Madinah and the Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve. The cases involved unlicensed camping and the possession of one cubic meter of local firewood, with legal measures taken against the offenders.

In the Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve, the forces apprehended a citizen for camping without a permit, and appropriate legal action was taken.

The forces clarified that camping in forests or national parks without a permit can result in a fine of up to 3,000 riyals (SAR).

In Madinah, another citizen was caught violating environmental regulations by possessing one cubic meter of local firewood. Legal procedures were applied, and the seized firewood was handed over to the relevant authorities.

The forces stated that using local firewood or charcoal for commercial activities is punishable by a fine of up to 32,000 riyals per cubic meter, while transporting, selling, or storing local firewood or charcoal can incur a fine of up to 16,000 riyals per cubic meter.

The Special Forces for Environmental Security urged the public to report any violations against the environment or wildlife by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions. All reports will be treated confidentially, with no liability for the informant.
