Jazan security patrols arrest Ethiopian resident for transporting border violators

Patrols from the General Directorate of Mujahideen in Jazan region have arrested an Ethiopian resident for transporting individuals of the same nationality who were violating border security regulations in a vehicle he was driving. All involved were detained, legal procedures were taken, and the violators were referred to the competent authorities, while the transporter was referred to the Public Prosecution.

The official spokesperson for the General Directorate of Mujahideen stressed that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transports them within the country, provides shelter, or offers any form of assistance or service, exposes themselves to penalties of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to SAR 1 million, confiscation of the means of transport and accommodation used for sheltering, and public naming.

He added that this offense is considered a major crime warranting detention and is regarded as dishonorable and a breach of trust. He urged the public to report violations of residency, labor, and border security regulations to emergency hotlines, assuring that all reports will be handled confidentially and without liability for the informant.
