Saudi Islamic Affairs Ministry holds intensive training for 150 preachers and imams in Bandung

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, through the religious attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Indonesia, has organized an intensive religious training course for preachers, imams, and khateebs in the city of Bandung, with nearly 150 participants.

The course began yesterday at the Grand Mosque of Trans Studio in Bandung, focusing on the methodology of Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jama'ah in matters of belief, the importance of adhering to the Qur’an and Sunnah, and following the understanding of the righteous predecessors.

The program highlights the impact of correct creed on a Muslim’s integrity and actions, as well as the role of preachers, imams, and khateebs in conveying Islamic knowledge with wisdom, compassion, moderation, and balance.

Additionally, the course combines academic foundations with systematic explanation of the material, strengthening participants’ knowledge and abilities in understanding and presenting matters of creed, and enabling them to fulfill their religious and educational mission on solid Islamic principles.

Programs to promote moderation and serve the community

This course is part of the scientific and outreach initiatives conducted by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs outside the Kingdom, aiming to qualify preachers, imams, and khateebs, spread authentic Islamic knowledge, promote values of moderation and balance, reinforce adherence to the Qur’an and Sunnah, and serve the Muslim community in Indonesia.
