Pakistan’s prime minister congratulates Saudi leaders on National Day

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended his warmest congratulations to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the Kingdom’s National Day.

In a message posted on his account on the X platform, Sharif said that Saudi Arabia’s remarkable journey of progress and development is a source of pride and admiration not only for the Saudi nation, but also for Pakistan. He added that under the wise leadership and clear vision of his “dear brother,” Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Kingdom continues to make great strides toward further prosperity, modernization, and innovation.

The prime minister emphasized that Pakistan takes pride in its longstanding and historic brotherhood with Saudi Arabia, rooted in faith, mutual trust, and strong ties between the two peoples. He noted that today, under the patronage of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, this brotherhood is growing into a stronger strategic partnership, supported by a shared commitment to peace, security, and the unity of the Islamic nation.

Sharif stated, “Together, we have proudly signed the Joint Strategic Defense Agreement and the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement. On this occasion, I renew Pakistan’s strong condemnation of the recent Houthi attacks on the Kingdom, especially the heinous attempted drone attack on Makkah. Any threat to the sanctity and security of the Two Holy Mosques wounds the feelings of Muslims worldwide.”

The prime minister reaffirmed that Pakistan stands united with Saudi Arabia in protecting its sovereignty, security, and the sanctity of Islam’s holiest sites. As we celebrate Saudi National Day, I pray that the Pakistan-Saudi brotherhood continues to grow and prosper. Long live the Pakistan-Saudi brotherhood.
