Employees liable for failing to report known violations, says legal expert

Majid Al-Munai, a lawyer specializing in governance, said that employees can be held accountable if they remain silent about a violation they knew about and failed to report.

Speaking in an interview with Al-Saudiya TV, Al-Munai explained that an employee is a member of an organization who works for its benefit, and that it is both a professional and ethical duty to report any violations witnessed.

He added that regulations and laws provide legal protection for whistleblowers.
