Ethiopian nationals arrested in Jazan for smuggling khat

Border Guard land patrols in the Al-Dayer sector of Jazan region have arrested two Ethiopian nationals for violating border security regulations and attempting to smuggle 40 kilograms of khat.

According to a statement on the Border Guard's official X account, initial legal procedures were completed against the suspects, and both the individuals and the seized contraband were handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling (911) in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, or (999) and (994) in other regions, as well as the General Directorate of Narcotics Control hotline (995), or by email at [email protected]. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
