Thunderstorms to continue in parts of Saudi Arabia through Sunday

The National Center for Meteorology has announced that thunderstorms will continue to affect parts of Saudi Arabia until next Sunday.

The center stated that the Makkah region will experience moderate to heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash floods, hail, and strong downdraft winds causing dust and sandstorms. Affected areas include Makkah city, Al-Kamil, Al-Jumum, Bahrah, Taif, Maysan, Adham, and Al-Ardiyat, while light to moderate rain is expected in Al-Laith and Al-Qunfudhah.

The regions of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha are also expected to see moderate to heavy rain, with risks of flash floods, hail, and strong winds stirring dust and sand. Light to moderate rain is also forecast for the Madinah region.
