Environmental Security urges compliance with hunting regulations

The Special Forces for Environmental Security have emphasized the importance of adhering to the environmental law and its executive regulations for hunting terrestrial wildlife, coinciding with the start of the hunting season in the Kingdom.

The forces explained that these efforts aim to reduce environmental violations, contributing to the sustainability of wildlife and maintaining ecological balance within Saudi Arabia.

They stressed the need for hunting enthusiasts to comply with the regulations and rules governing the activity, noting that violations will subject offenders to penalties as stipulated by relevant laws.

Licensing and reporting violations

The forces called on those wishing to hunt to obtain the necessary permits through the “Fatri” platform, operated by the National Center for Wildlife Development, and to adhere to the permitted species, locations, times, and hunting methods as outlined on the platform.

The public was also urged to report any cases of environmental or wildlife violations by calling (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or (999) and (996) in other regions, assuring that all reports will be treated with full confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
